GS21 - Fire Cabinet
The historical fire cabinet consists of two or three stacked boxes with side handles, designed to be carried out of the house during a fire, along with their contents. The redesigned fire cabinet focuses on the essentials while drawing inspiration from the historical elements of its predecessor. Traditional joinery techniques and the use of selected softwood evoke the craftsmanship of the Baroque period, from which this type of furniture originates. By dividing a large cabinet into individual modules, the design achieves both modularity and simplicity, allowing the boxes to function independently or as a cohesive unit.
