David Bühler is a designer from Halle (Saale), Germany, specializing in object and spatial design. Before he started to study industrial design at Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle, he trained as a cabinetmaker at the Schulen für Holz und Gestaltung in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and later worked at Studio Mark Braun in Berlin. His work explores how materials are perceived and valued, challenging conventions and questioning what is considered worthy of attention. Through observation and experimentation, he seeks to uncover the unseen aspects of design - those often overlooked yet fundamental qualities that shape our interaction with objects and spaces. By creating connections to other contexts, he aims to evoke associations that resonate with people on a deeper level, encouraging them to reflect on their own perceptions and assumptions. His focus is on revealing hidden qualities and translating these insights into functional and thought-provoking designs.
