CASTAWAYS
Castaways is a collection of cast aluminum tableware in which the traces of the manufacturing process remain visible. The sprues, which would otherwise be removed, take on new functions: as bases, handles, or hangers. In this way, the remains of the casting become supporting design elements. The experimental use and deliberate visualization of these elements creates a new perception of the craft and the process of casting.
